NBA star James Harden buys stake in MLS franchise Houston Dynamo

NBA superstar James Harden has joined the ownership group of Major League Soccer (MLS) club Houston Dynamo.

Harden, who plays for the Houston Rockets, bought a minority stake of five percent in the MLS franchise that also owns National Women’s Soccer League’s (NWSL) Houston Dash and the BBVA Stadium.

Dash is the American women’s team that was coached by former Banyana Banyana head coach Vera Pauw, who brought over striker Thembi Kgatlana, midfielder Linda Motlhalo and defender Janine van Wyk during her time there.
